Hall & Oates - H2O

Wow. I can't believe it's come to this. I'm really going to review Hall & Oates today. While undoubtedly ashamed of this, I'm going to run with it anyways. Why? Well, the summer concert scene in Wisconsin is pretty huge. Summerfest in Milwaukee typically brings the biggest acts in the business. Hall & Oates performed last night, which by no means makes them a big act. But people have been talking, and follower janis! went last night, and said it was "SO GOOD". Live performances aside, this is typically the music I cannot stand. But I'll give it a fair shake, and here we go. They started out in different bands in the late 60's when they met. While the two separate bands were performing in Philadelphia, gun shots rang out as rival gangs decided to let it go down at the concert. Why they were there is beside the point and beyond me. Anyway, when fleeing, the two ended up in the same service elevator - which got them talking. They found they had a ton in common, including attending Temple University. The duo became virtually inseparable after. One of the apartments they lived in had Hall & Oates on the mailbox, and the rest is history I guess. I decided to go with 1982's 'H2O' because it's one of 2 2x platinum selling albums for the band. And this one had at least one track I'd heard of before. Everything about this albums SCREAMS 80's. The cover (which is AWFUL) and then the actual music. I can't stand this. I mean, I tried. I tried really hard to find value in this album - and I can't do it. I'd rather listen to Ke$ha than this, and I know that's going to make janis! quite angry with me. Might even lead her to stop reading the blog. But I have to be honest, and I just loathe this music.
